Enrollment Information

Students wishing to enroll at Coast High School must be referred by their comprehensive home school’s Assistant Principal, then if approved, must attend an Orientation at Coast High School. If you currently attend another school district, you will need to provide official copies of your transcript, discipline record, and proof of residence when you attend your appointment.
Orientations are given every other Friday from 10:00am to 12:00pm in Room C116.
Parents are required to attend.

After Friday’s Orientation

Students will receive Edgenuity online coursework to be completed by the following Monday and will schedule an appointment time to meet with the Guidance Specialist (parents are welcomed, but not mandatory).
Coast I.D. Cards
After meeting with a guidance specialist, students will receive their I.D. cards. The first card is free, however if you lose your card you will be required to pay a $5.00 replacement fee. Please keep your I.D. card with you at all times. Ocean View High School is a closed campus. You must be prepared to show your Coast I.D. to Ocean View Security officers if asked.
Work Permits
Work Permit applications may be obtained from Mr. Jones during school hours. Applications must be filled out by your employer and your parents and returned to our office. The Work Permit will be issued about 2 or 3 days later.
ROP Courses
If you are interested in ROP classes, check with our guidance specialist Mrs. Jahns to see the list of courses available.
Obtaining Records
Talk to Mrs. Jahns our guidance specialist to obtain copies of transcripts and to discuss graduation requirements.
Other Reminders:
Remember that Ocean View High School is not an open campus for our students to “hang out” with friends. You are welcome to wait for rides in our patio area, but if you take a bus to school, you should leave campus promptly after your appointment with your teacher.
Parents must re-enroll students each semester to continue attending Coast High School.
